This animal skin garment is accepted for cleaning and refinishing with the following explanatory conditions understood and agreed to by the customer:
- The garment will be hand spot cleaned and re-oiled, refinished and pressed to the best of our ability; however, we cannot guarantee that it will look like a newly purchased garment.
- We will refinish all smooth leather garments as close as possible to the original color Gazed or antique. Finishes cannot be completely restored to the same finish and feel as a new garment.
- Most reversible, cowhide and pigskin garments (also smooth leather), may develop some wrinkling of the skin during cleaning due to the relaxation of the skin. This condition is beyond our control.
- Sewed-in linings will be pressed as well as possible, but may not lie flat in the garment as before cleaning.
- Cowhide, pigskin, sheepskin and suede garments (also knit garments with skin trim) may have some loss of color or color change which cannot be restored completely.
- Stains will be removed to the best of our ability.
- Most skins have scars, weak skin areas, tick marks and defects which may become more visible after cleaning.
- When re-finishing and restoring leather and suede items, we do our best to match colors and mask un-removable stains. Some stains tend to bleed through. We use the latest leather finishes and sealers available, but there are some stains that are not 100% correctable.
- Some skins are left in an overstretched condition when processed into garments. These tend to go back to their original size when cleaned, thus causing the garment to shrink in size. This is due to poor processing in the making of a garment and cannot always be remedied by the cleaner.
- All Rabbit Furs are completely at customer’s full risk as the skins are very thin and weak.
- When different color suedes or leathers are placed next to each other, there is a definite chance of one color bleeding onto another. All caution is taken to prevent this, but sometimes dyes that are used are inferior causing color bleeding. (When there is a question of this possibly happening you may get a call to see if you want to move forward with the cleaning or we may just send it back.)
- We will exercise all care, good judgment, and precaution in processing your garment. However, some of the above conditions are beyond our control. For this reason, when you send your garments to us for processing we will assume you understand and have read these conditions and terms.
- When possible, we ask that this release be signed before proceeding with the work.
- All work is done to the best of our ability. We stand behind our work. Our goal is to please our customers the first time with 100% satisfaction. If do not meet or exceed customer expectations, we will gladly continue to work on the item(s) until this goal is met.
